Special requirements

Certification
In the event of a Certification course, two exam attempts and the certification fee are included in the price. In order to obtain the certification the attendee must first pass (all of) the exam(s). Paying for the course does not automatically yield a Certification.
Venues
Courses are generally held at the Tonkraftwerk Training Center
Tonkraftwerk
Stadtplatz 22/22a
4840 Vöcklabruck
Austria
In case of “in-House-Training” the offered courses are to take place at a Venue organised by the Client. Tonkraftwerk needs to be informed about, and needs to agree to the Location at the time of Booking. No additional costs will be carried by Tonkraftwerk. The following criteria must be met:
All participants must have access to a working Avid Pro Tools compatible computer (PC or Mac) running Pro Tools 12.0 or higher. Two persons sharing a computer is ok but not recommended. The computers need to have a supported sound card which can output the outgoing sound from Pro Tools to headphones. Access to MIDI keyboard, Headphones and a Microphone is needed. Participants and the Instructor need access to the Internet.
The Tonkraftwerk Instructor needs a Projector with DVI, VGA or HDMI input cable, MIDI keyboard and a sound system (XLR or Tele sound input). Any alteration to the specified equipment must be cleared with Tonkraftwerk prior to course start. Please contact us for further instructions or if you have any questions.
Fees
All Tonkraftwerk training courses listed are subject to VAT at the current rate. Course fees include tuition on the day/days and all relevant course materials.
Course transfers
There is no charge for transferring your booking to the same course on an alternative date provided you notify Tonkraftwerk in writing up to 21 days before the start and if there is availability. However, a transfer fee of 20% of the course fee (plus VAT) will be payable if the notice is received less than 21 days before the start of the original course. No refund will be made in the event of a transfer. No more than one transfer will be allowed. Requests to transfer a course must be made in writing and can be sent by email to anders@tonkraftwerk.com.
Cancelling your place
If you notify Tonkraftwerk in writing (via email or letter) up to 28 days before the start date of a course, you will receive a full refund less an administration fee of 50% (plus VAT) of the course fee. If you withdraw for whatever reason within the 28 day period, the full fee will remain payable even if you are unable to nominate a substitute attendee. Substitutions should be received by Tonkraftwerk at least 48 hours prior to the course start date. Tonkraftwerk Travel and Hotel expenses might not be refundable, depending on the arrangement.
Non-attendance
If you fail to attend the course on which you are booked without giving prior notice to Tonkraftwerk, we will be unable to refund the course fees, any travel fees, or offer a transfer.
Cancellation by Tonkraftwerk
Where circumstances dictate, Tonkraftwerk reserves the right to alter published programmes, trainers, fees or venues without prior notice. In the event of a course being cancelled, a refund of the course fee will be made but no compensation will be paid for any additional costs incurred.
Dress code
There is no dress code; however, most participants choose to wear casual clothing. Due to variable temperatures of air conditioned rooms, layers are advised.
Liability
Tonkraftwerk does not accept responsibility for anyone acting as a result of information or views expressed on its training courses including course material. Opinions expressed are those of individual trainers and not necessarily those of Tonkraftwerk. Participants should take professional advice when dealing with specific situations.
Jurisdiction and Governing Law
These terms and conditions are ruled by Austrian law. All disputes arising between the contracting partners shall be governed by Austrian law exclusively, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The materially competent court in Linz shall have jurisdiction. Application of the UN convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (UN Sales Convention), and the conflict-of-law rules of the Act on International Private Law shall be expressly excluded.
Prevailing terms and conditions
All services provided Tonkraftwerk are on the basis of Tonkraftwerks terms and conditions (Tonkraftwerk Terms) and if you wish to engage any Tonkraftwerks services we shall only provide them if you accept the Tonkraftwerk Terms. If you offer to engage Tonkraftwerk on your own terms and conditions then we shall only accept your offer on the Tonkraftwerk Terms, which shall, if we provide the services you offer to engage, prevail over any other terms and conditions.
